Towing Height Extension

Cycle carrier wall mounting bracket

Add height to your rack

Lift your bikes another 300mm with the Towing Height Extension Kit to clear jockey wheel handles, gas bottles, etc. on your caravan's 'A' frame.

The Towing Height Extension Kit requires 2 Auxiliary Straps to restrain the raised load. It is essential that both Auxiliary Straps are always employed when using the Height Extension.

All 4 and 5-bike racks are supplied with 2 Auxiliary Straps so you need only purchase the basic height extension (20ET40). Our 2-bike racks are supplied without Auxiliary Straps. If you are buying or already own a 2-bike rack, you require the Height Extension Kit (20ET42) which includes 2 Auxiliary Straps.

Please be aware that every combination of vehicle and caravan/trailer is different and that the space available for bikes may be restricted. How many bikes you can carry and tow at the same time will be limited by the dimensions of the specific shape and size of your particular towing set-up.

This PDF document gives guidance about the clearance needed and how many bikes will fit in the space between vehicle and caravan for each of our racks.

You should not exceed the recommended nose weight rating of your vehicle. This could limit the number of bikes you are able to carry on your particular vehicle, especially if you will be towing at the same time.
