How many bikes can I carry?
The MAXXRAXX is an extremely strong and durable bike rack.
Most vehicles can carry 4 bikes easily.
On some rugged vehicles such as certain 4x4s, you may be able to carry upto 5 bikes.
There is even a 6-bike MAXXRAXX fitted to a truck used for major cycling holidays in Mongolia!

Check the manufacturer's handbook to find the maximum load allowed on the tow bar of your vehicle and then select how many bikes you wish to carry based on the strength of your vehicle and your own needs. You can find guidance in our section on nose weight rating of your vehicle.
You should not exceed the recommended nose weight rating of your vehicle. This could limit the number of bikes you are able to carry on your particular vehicle, especially if you will be towing at the same time.
