Convert your rack for use with a SwanNeck tow bar

This kit allows you to use your existing 2-bolt flange bar bike rack with either a fixed or detachable SwanNeck tow bar.

The MAXXRAXX SwanNeck adaptor must be supplied and fitted by one of our network of professional, authorised fitters. The price of a SwanNeck upgrade kit for your bike rack includes the fitting charge. Please supply your post code and type of vehicle for details of your nearest authorised SwanNeck fitter.

Convert 2-bike MAXXRAXX to carry 3 or 4 bikes

This kit consists of a 4-bike top-beam, 2 cycle cradles and 2 auxiliary straps. Whenever you are carrying more than 2 bikes you must use both auxiliary straps.

Convert original MAXXRAXX for use on modern vehicles with 2-bolt flange tow bars

In order to comply with EU legislation (Type Approval EC94/20) and changes in manufacturing standards, it is necessary to replace the foot and S-tube of your original (Pre 1999) MAXXRAXX for use on vehicles registered after 1 August 1998.

This upgrade kit is for use on vehicles fitted with 2-bolt, flange plate, tow bars. The kit consists of a new foot plate, an upright (depending on the vehicle in use), replacement flange plate bolts, a clamp bolt and 1 auxiliary strap. Original MAXXRAXX bike racks were supplied with 1 auxiliary strap. When carrying more than 2 bikes we specify that you must always use 2 auxiliary straps to prevent shock loading of the tow bar.

Please refer to convert your rack for use with a SwanNeck if your new vehicle is fitted with a SwanNeck tow bar.
